Part Two:
Preparation for Your Tandem Skydive
Now what are you going to wear for your tandem skydive?
Wear tennis shoes if you have them.
If you have boots and they have hooks for the laces, the drop zone will put duct tape on the hooks.
The clothes you wear really do not matter as long as they are comfortable.
I always tell students to wear comfortable jeans and a tee shirt and bring along a sweatshirt because sometimes it is a little cool at altitude when it is time to jump from that airplane.
Some drop zones have suits you can wear but not all of them do.
If jumping when the weather is cool, wear layers that still allow you movement.
Now listen to me when I tell you this because it's important, and your instructor will also tell you this. Before you go on your tandem skydive make sure you take off your jewelry, empty your pockets of everything.
If you do not want to lose it, keep it on the ground.
If you are wearing contacts let your instructor know, he will give you goggles for contacts or glasses.
Now you're ready to make a tandem skydive.
Your named has been called, it's your turn.
Now different drop zones do different things to get you ready.
Some drop zones put you into your harness and you will meet the instructor at the plane.
Some drop zones have the instructor go over some simple instructions.
Like I said in the beginning it is not Rocket Science.
One thing to remember when your tandem harness is being put on, it has to be adjusted.
So, do not get hyper when the instructor hands are little too close to things that make you uncomfortable.
Remember these people are professionals.
Besides, most of the time the instructors will tell you what he or she is doing.
The tandem skydiving harness that you are wearing is what attaches you to your instructor, which is very important.
Your harness has four attachments that hook up to your tandem skydiving instructor.
You have two side hookups and two shoulder hookups.
These are the attachment points where you will be hooked up to your tandem skydiving instructor before you jump.

Baby Needs A New Pair Of Shoes
by: Kirsten Hawkins
Baby's first Nike's may be absolutely adorable, but are they necessary? According to most experts - and not just modern ones but for at least the last thirty years - babies don't need shoes till they're up and walking around. Even at that point, it's good for the little tikes to get in lots of barefoot time so they get used to their balance and how their little toesies work.
Still, by the time they're spending more time on their feet than on their knees, it's time to get them into a pair of shoes, if for no other reason than to protect those feet from stubbed toes and other injuries. So, what sort of shoes should you wrap those precious feet in?
Certainly NOT the old-fashioned hard-soled leather lace-up shoes that were meant to 'train' baby feet to grow properly. Pediatricians recommend soft shoes that move with baby's feet. The soles should be non-skid to prevent falls, but flexible enough...

Start with the living room. If you?ve had your couch, loveseat, or sectional for more than 10 years, chances are you need to rethink your furniture needs. Do you have a small child now who has trouble getting on or off of a couch that didn?t seem too wide when you bought it? And the only way to know if it?s comfortable is to sit on it. If you plan to nap on your couch, lay on it right in the furniture showroom...

Knockout Knee Pain
by: Stephanie McIntyre & Kamau Austin
You may first feel it when attempting to bend down to pick a
dropped item or possibly you experience it as morning stiffness
that you feel when you first get up out of bed. But whenever
it hits you knee pain will undoubtedly get your attention.
The good news about knee pain is that it responds well to self
care measures.
There are a number of factors that can put you at risk for knee
pain. Some of them are:
Overweight: If you weigh more than you should, you put more
stress and pressure on your knee joints. Over time this excess
pressure can cause pain.
Overuse: An inflammatory response can occur when a repetitive
activity, causes a muscle to get fatigued. This inflammatory
response can damage surrounding tissue. This can be further
compounded when you don't give the knee enough time to fully
recover thereby making it prone...

Lightweight Backpacking
by: Steve Gillman
Lightweight backpacking or ultralight backpacking certainly enable you to travel more miles in a day. I can easily go farther in my running shoes, with my fifteen-pound pack on, than I could with heavy hiking boots and a forty-pound pack. That isn't all, though. Going light also means more comfort, more freedom and even more safety.
Disadvantages Of Traditional Backpacking
Less freedom. It isn't easy to take a side trip up that hill, just to see what's there. Do it without your pack, and you have to go back the same way to get your pack.
More tiring. It's clearly more tiring with a heavy pack, and you probably won't enjoy yourself as much when you are tired.
More Injuries. Blistered feet, sprained ankles, sore muscles, and back and knee problems are just some of the common consequences of too much weight on your back.
More hassle. Removing and putting on a heavy pack quickly becomes...

Golf As It Was

Golf- Don't Get Carried Away
You only need to watch golf for a few tournaments where the pros sweep the course to get the golf bug. Suddenly you decide you want to learn to play. How hard can it be right?
But you shall be in for shock. How hard can it be after all, all you do is put the ball on a small tee and hit in down the fairway. Simple! You might want to play around a bit before you go and spend loads of money on clubs and balls.
Anyone can learn to play golf and when someone does they generally enjoy it. The are learn to play centers everywhere now and for the most part it doesn't have to be expensive or time consuming considering you can hire a cart if you don't want to walk the course.
Beginners though usually have a tougher time than advanced golfers though because they have a harder time controlling the ball. Beginners spend more time walking the course and traversing across wooded...
